Choose how Words Abide should reach you.
Sign up by email, SMS, or both. SMS is optional and is used only for
transactional account updates, check-in reminders, and service
notifications. To opt into SMS, enter your mobile number and check the
SMS consent box.

for SMS only when you choose SMS consent.
Consent is specific, optional, and unchecked by default. To stop texts,
